着物寸法の見方 Measurements for your kimono
着物を選ぶ時の理想的な丈（たけ）の長さです。
This is the ideal length for your kimono and naga-juban (undergarment).
着物丈（きものたけ）＝身長＋5㎝。
Kimono: your height plus 1.875 in. /5 cm
長襦袢（ながじゅばん）＝身長－30cm
Naga-juban (undergarment): your height minus 11.25 in. /30 cm.
注意事項 Attention
躾（シツケ）糸は使用前に必ず取って下さい。
On the other hand, “shitsuke”(tentative basting) needs to be removed before wearing.
ぐし躾（グシビ）糸は布が広がらない様抑える役目もあるので、絶対に取らないで下さい。
“Gushibi” (permanent basting) is performed in order to control the spread of the fabric.
Therefore do not remove it.
